LaDonna K. Sanders is a multifaceted professional from Kansas City, Kansas, whose life's work beautifully weaves together education, ministry, and the arts. As an educator with over a decade of experience, she has nurtured learners from preschool to college, emphasizing compassion, equity, and reflective teaching practices. Her classroom is more than just a learning space; it's a vibrant garden where growth is cultivated through puzzles, books, math games, and a strong sense of belonging for her students.
Whether translating her reflections into powerful devotionals or designing joyful, engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences for young learners, LaDonna believes that learning should be a journey of discovery, that community must be intentionally cultivated, and that every student deserves to be seen, heard, and empowered.
Beyond the classroom, LaDonna is a published author. Her literary works — Journey to Promise, Healing Waters, and All Things God Made — center on the hope found in Jesus Christ while thoughtfully addressing themes of social justice. Her creative portfolio spans stage plays, skits, poetry, blogs, and inspirational songs. She also hosts the Healing Waters podcast, available on platforms including Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, Deezer, Pandora, and Amazon.
LaDonna's commitment to lifelong learning is reflected in her academic accomplishments. She earned a bachelor's degree with honors from Empire State University, along with associate degrees in Practical Theology and Elementary Education. Most recently, she completed a Master of Arts in Teaching from Kansas State University.
Having spent many years in Oklahoma and New York, LaDonna now resides in Merriam, Kansas. As a recent widow, she cherishes her role as a mother to two adult children and a grandmother.
